At the southern side of the island, the scenery is green and plain, with dentelated coasts and sandy beaches at ‘ Kanoula’ and ‘ Ammos’ . At the northern side of the island, the landscape is different. Steep cliffs and precipices startle you and forbid you access to the beach’, but they also stun you with their wild beauty . Here you can go to two amazing beaches with white sand and green water, Xylosyrmi’ and Aspri ‘Ammos’ , accessible only by boat. The gulfs ‘ Fyki’ and ‘ Kapsolinari’ just below ‘ Kalodiki’ , ‘ Damaskatika ’ and ‘ Chaidatika ’ are beautiful and accessible only from the north. Othoni have got a dense network of paths , ideal for those who want to enjoy a walk in nature . These paths were created personally by the local people before the creation of today's asphalted or cemented [and very well preserved] road network, with a total length of appr. 20 kilometres.
